A Living Nightmare
Shep Zitler was a soldier and prisoner of war. He was drafted into the Polish army before WWII began. The Polish army soldiers were rude and crude people and some soldiers told all the Jews "First we are going to take care of the Germans, then we are going to take care of you." They were really cruel people and when the Germans invaded Poland the Polish army known as Poles lost the war in 16 days.
Shep was sent to labor camps and he stayed in them for 5 years and 7 months. After the war he was sent out into the world once again. But, it was too late. All the members of his family were killed except his sister. All that had happened simply because they were Jews.
That is his personal HOLOCAUST and he will remember it always. He vowed never to marry and have kids because he never wanted to put someone through something like that ever. He ended getting married and having a child but he still feels the lose of his family deep in his heart.
